November 2010

Started Hyperion today.  It’s Hugo Award-winning, the front proclaims, so here’s hoping it’s good.

Is Hyperion good?  A thousand times, yes!  I’m about two-thirds of the way through it, and I’m very excited about getting to the end.  What’s going to happen with that freaky Shrike?  What about Rachel — will she become a fetus?  There are so many questions waiting to be answered!

Boy, I’ve been slacking with my duties here.  To update:  I attempted to read Wade of Aquitaine but couldn’t get past the part about Wade taking the horse — if it’s a mare, it’s a she.  Stop calling it he half the time.  It made my head explode, so no more of that.  I’m reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society instead.  Not bad, so far.
